Singapore has just reduced its parking minimums (cutting by 50% in many cases).
It also introduced parking maximums.
In addition, it has also introduced several “car-lite districts” where parking provision in developments will be on a case-by-case basis (presumably low).
Furthermore, it has also reduced the “deficiency payment’ to be paid by developers when they provide less than the minimum, which may perhaps encourage some more to consider this option, especially in high-land-cost areas.
